Privacy policy

Who we are

This policy covers Omega Point Ventures Pty Ltd (ABN 38 159 805 231), “we” or “us”. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Each business we operate may publish its own privacy policy for its own customers; where it does, that policy applies to that business.

What we collect

This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking, and has no forms. We collect personal information only when you give it to us, usually by emailing us. That may include your name, email address, phone number and anything else you choose to tell us. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and request times, for security and operations.

How we use it

• to reply to you and deal with your enquiry;
• to run and secure our businesses and systems;
• to meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for direct marketing without your consent.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us operate, such as email, hosting, accounting and customer-support providers, and only as needed for them to provide their service. Some of these providers, including support staff working for us, may be located outside Australia, for example in the Philippines or the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure they handle the information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Storage and security

We store our records with reputable providers, in Australia where practical, and we protect them with access controls, encryption and multi-factor authentication. We keep information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or make a complaint about how we have handled it, by emailing hello@omegapointventures.com.au. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
